The purpose of the LMS Schools Programme is to support the delivery of conflict resolution and a holistic approach to restorative approaches. We have developed school-based programmes which enhance emotional resilience of children and contribute to the development of a whole-school approach to emotional health and wellbeing.
Emotional health and wellbeing incorporates good mental health, but is more than the absence of mental health problems. It includes social elements - such as the ability to empathise and develop relationships with others, and being involved in and able to influence decisions that impact on one’s life - as well as raising awareness that there are actions individuals can take to improve the way they feel and build resilience. The programme also incorporates action to increase confidence and esteem and to prevent bullying and violence in schools.
