Martin has been with Lambeth Mediation Service since it started in 1990.
Martin had a background in reform of criminal justice, support for victims, and mediation in general.
“I was interested in the idea of mediation and restorative justice, but wanted practical experience, so when Greta Brooks got in touch with me and invited me to join a service which she was starting, I jumped at the chance.
The mediation training gave me new insights into people’s behaviour and attitudes (including my own). It has certainly given me ideas about how our society could be changed for the better.
I think people who come to mediation gain an understanding of other people’s needs and lifestyles, enabling them to get on with each other.”
